This is a Run, Bike or Swim, that can be held anywhere in New Zealand or in the World at anytime and at any pace.
Do I have to be a member of Virtual Events Club to take part?
No you don't, although if you are a member you receive a 10% Discount off entry fees and are eligible for spot prizes. You receive a FREE T-Shirt with your Membership of $35.00.
Is there a winner?
The winner is you for completing the event. We will record your time in the Results table so you can see how you’re going against other Club competitors. Race results will be age group categorised.
What is the price of a Virtual Event?
All Virtual Events Club events are $35.00, if you're a member of the Virtual Events Club you receive a Discount of 10% if you enter the Series nd 5% for Non Club Members.
Can my whole Family join the Virtual Events Club?
Yes families can join the Club. It is a once only membership and you receive the t-shirt FREE for joining.
What are the Age groups?
What if I can’t Run an Events and only Walk it?
Yes, you can walk the event, there is no problem with this. Just register, record your time and send it in. Your medal will be on its way.
What if I enter the Walk and Run some of it?
If you enter the Walk you should walk it all. If you want to run some of it, you should enter the Run.
Are the medals the same each month?
The medals will be different, our medals will be designed and specific for each month of the year.
Do I have to register by a certain Date each month?
You have until the 20th of the Month to register for the event.
What if I don’t register by the 20th?
Entries for that month will have closed and you’d need to register for the next Months event.
How do I get my race Bib?
We will email you your personalised Race Bib with your number and name on it
Do I have to wear my Race Bib when doing my event?
No but it would be great to see some photos of you wearing it. If you do wear it, it would be recommended to put it in a plastic bag to keep dry. Then print a new one off to put with your medal.
Do I have to do the event on a specific day?
No; you have between the 21st and 28th of each month to do the event. Then email in your results by the end of the month.
What if I want to Register for the Series in 2020?
You can enter the remaining 9 events of 2020
Do I get something Special for doing the Series?
Yes, you will get a BIG Series Virtual Events Club 2020 Medal
What if i want to change my distance in the Series. E.g doing 21km and one month do 10km?
The Series is event specific, to complete the Series you will need to do the specific event each month.
Do I get a Discount for entering the Series?
Yes; all Club Members get 10% off Entry Fees whether these are Individual Events or the Series. If you enter the series and you’re not a Club Member you will get 5% Discount.
Where do the profits go too?
The profits after all expenses will go to Charity of Ronald McDonald House
Can I donate to the House separately?
Yes; when entering you can donate further to the House, if you’re not competing click on the link of the amount you wish to donate.
Can I share my event on Social Media?
Yes, Share it, selfies, show whoever you want, have your Bib and Medal on, tell the World how awesome you are for completing the event.
When will I get my medal after the event?
Good question; once registrations close, we will finalse the medal order and they take up to 20-25 days to arrive. We have to then repackage and send these out by tracking mail. Our target each month will be by the 20th of each month following an event. Hopefully before although we’re dependant on the manufacturer and freight. Once we get this up and running, we will have a clearer picture for you. Freight at present with Covid-19 is being delayed and hard to estimate delivery.
What do you do with the images of confirmation?
We will be setting up a gallery of people doing their events and finishing them, so please smile and have your best face on.
I don’t live in New Zealand can I enter?
Anyone anywhere in the World can enter and participate. The medals may take a bit longer and we may have to add additional postage on for the medals for international competitors - being $19.
What if my medal gets lost in the mail?
We will be tracking all medals in the post. If it is lost, we will sort this with the post. It is your responsibility to make sure your mailing address is correct.
Can events get sold out?
We don’t believe this will be an issue given it is a Virtual Event and we’ll be able to order more medals. Registrations for each event though will Close on the 20th of each month.
Is the Facebook page a private group?
No, the Facebook page is for everyone to enjoy, please keep everything positive. Remember this is for a great charity
How will Specific Virtual Events Run?
These we will create a course in specific Cities, giving you a route to run during a specific month. You will have a Close off Date and a Completion Date, similar to our monthly Virtual Events. Everything else will be the same, receiving a Race Bib, sending through your time and confirmation and a medal will be sent out. You will have a month to do these Specific events as we don’t want everyone turning up at the same time of day to do the event as this could cause traffic issues.
Are there spot prizes?
Club Members will be eligiblefor Spot Prizesand these will be a surprises when you receive your medal as Spots will be distributed with the medals. We will do a number of spot prizes every month and like an ordinary event they’re always a surprise when you win one.
